Family Support WorkerRomford The primary purpose of this role is to work with children and families alongside workers within Prevention & Intervention and other agencies to: Provide a broad range of services with the aim of supporting families by improving family relationships, improving parenting and breaking negative cycles.

Key AccountabilitiesProvides a service to children and families which will improve outcomes for all children. Contributes to planning, delivering and evaluating work with children and parents, both in groups and individually, providing a stimulating and caring environment which enhances and promotes the child's all round developmental needs.Provide practical parenting support to families through home visiting and outreach work and undertake direct work with children and families around issues identified by agencies in response to a variety of situations that may arise, using a recognised parenting programme.Work in partnership with parents/families and other professionals to support and encourage parents to identify ways in which difficulties may be overcome, including signposting parents to a range of services and using safe care and home safety.Hold a caseload of complex and non-complex cases and attend Court to give information on specific cases as required depende...
