Working Monday - Friday 9am to 6pm, every Saturday 9am to 5pm, with a rota day off during the week.
Salary: Up to £60,000 OTE
Are you looking for a career-defining role and eager to be part of something new and exciting? Volkswagen Guildford is seeking an ambitious and talented Sales Manager to lead our team.
As a Sales Manager, you will serve as a role model for customer service excellence, leading by example. You will develop lasting relationships with customers and coach the team to do the same. You will oversee our on-site team of Sales Executives and manage the day-to-day operations of the showroom, including vehicle valuations, sales, and the vehicle journey from workshop prep to showroom presentation. Collaboration with the divisional buyer, prep technicians, detailers, and photography team is essential to meet marketing standards.
* Manage the full sales process, from web inquiry to showroom sale.
* Monitor staff performance through structured 1:1s, training, and development.
* Implement departmental targets and brand KPIs.
* Oversee vehicle purchasing and maintain up-to-date stock pricing.
* Ensure FCA compliance within the Sales Department.
* Manage and own customer satisfaction metrics.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar premium automotive environment, with a proven track record in transactional sales and delivering exceptional customer service. Leadership experience and the ability to motivate a team are essential. Knowledge of financial performance monitoring and regulatory understanding of finance and insurance products are required. Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills are also necessary.
