An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager to join our enthusiastic Countywide Learning Disabilities team in Northumberland!
The post is permanent, full-time at 37hrs per week based at Eddie Ferguson House, Blyth.
Main duties of the job
As a Team Manager, you will oversee and motivate a team of learning disability social workers and care managers. The team will be linked to the South locality of Northumberland but will cover countywide duties. You will be part of a larger learning disability service covering the whole of Northumberland, with strong management and peer support.
Your responsibilities include motivating the team to high performance levels, managing staff workload and workflows effectively, supervising and appraising team members, and key areas such as safeguarding adults and service development. Training and personal development opportunities will be available. You will also manage a delegated health and social care budget for the locality.
Minimum requirements
* Relevant degree or professional qualification in social work
* Significant post-qualifying experience, including senior level
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Ability to motivate and drive performance within a team
* Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with partner agencies
* Must meet the transport requirements of the role
