We are seeking someone who is self-motivated, flexible and well organised with demonstrable experience of working to tight deadlines. Our ideal candidate is analytical, methodical, and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledge of HMRC legislation is an advantage. Previous experience in payroll or a financial role is essential. Training will be provided.
Duties of the role include:
1. Timely and accurate input of payroll data to the DCC Payroll and HR Management System (iTrent)
2. Calculation of emergency payments and complex calculations such as third party accident Claims, overpayments, sickness and family absence, annual leave etc.
3. Maintain awareness of statutory/organisation changes and interpret complex payroll legislation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
4. Deal with telephone, letter and email enquiries on difficult issues such as complex National Insurance, pension, income tax, salary, annual leave and sickness calculation questions.
5. Run multiple pay runs and ensure that all processes are completed to strict deadlines such as Full Payment/Bacs submission.
