Our market leading client are looking for a meticulous and reliable Customs Administrator to provide essential support & manage customs admin processes. This role plays a critical part in facilitating smooth international trade operations and ensuring strict adherence to all customs regulations and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate customs administration for both inbound and outbound shipments
* Execute technical and commercial customs-related tasks with accuracy
* Communicate with clients and carriers to resolve documentation gaps or missing information
* Maintain and update the customs broker and client databases
* Oversee management of preference documents and ensure proper control
* Complete and file TSS declarations in a timely manner
* Manage client billing processes and review supplier invoices for approval
* Support customs audits conducted by the global compliance team
* Administer and reconcile the Duty Deferment Account
The Ideal Candidate:
* Minimum of 1 year experience in a customs-related role
* Solid understanding of UK import/export regulations and customs compliance
* Familiarity with customs documentation codes and preferential trade agreements
* Skilled in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
* Strong organizational skills, including document management and accurate record-keeping
* Experience with billing processes and document archiving
* Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
* Confident communicator with the ability to engage professionally with clients and logistics partners
