Position Overview
Our Insurance team at DWF provides expertise in Property Damage and is currently hiring for a Solicitor in Birmingham. The role is hybrid, requiring office attendance in Birmingham 2-3 days per week. The property claims team offers a varied workload from industries such as property owners, construction & engineering, utilities, industrial, manufacturing, warehousing, retail, real estate, hotel & leisure, arising from perils including fire, flood, explosion, contamination and construction issues.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist senior members with significant and complex property damage claims.
* Handle your own caseload of property claims to an effective and satisfactory conclusion for clients.
* Maintain high levels of service delivery both internally and externally.
* Maintain management information under the terms of the client service level agreement.
* Ensure financial results and client service excellence.
Qualifications
* 3‑5 years PQE, with openness to varied experience levels handling insurance‑backed property damage claims.
* Prior experience managing a litigated insurance property‑related caseload, including first‑party property damage, policy coverage and subrogated recoveries.
* Technical expertise and strong interest in commercial insurance matters.
* A proven track record of delivering results within strict deadlines and timeframes.

* Ability to communicate and manage often complex issues for both internal and external stakeholders.
* A self‑motivated individual who can coach and develop others within the team.
