* Day Shift - Mon to Thu 06:00-14:00 Fri 06:00-13:30
* Back Shift - Mon to Thu 13:45-23:45 Fri 13:45-22:45
* (During probabtion - Mon to Thu 07:30-16:00 Fri 07:00-12:30)

THE BUSINESS
Based in Consett, our client is a well-established and forward-thinking engineering business specialising in the reverse engineering and refurbishment of rotating equipment. Supporting a wide range of industrial sectors, they provide expert servicing, repair, and overhaul solutions across all types of pumps.

THE ROLE
* Produce precision-engineered components from technical drawings using Puma CNC turning machines
* Program, set, and operate CNC lathes (Fanuc controls) to achieve accurate and consistent results
* Work to tight tolerances (up to 0.02mm) while maintaining high quality standards
* Deliver components within agreed production deadlines
* Ensure all machining activities comply with company procedures and British Standards
* Contribute to continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency
* Support wider teams in fault finding and resolving production or engineering issues
* Work collaboratively within a small, skilled machine shop handling a varied workload
THE PERSON
* Time-served CNC machinist with strong turning experience
* Proven experience with Fanuc programming (essential)
* Experience operating Puma CNC machines is advantageous
* Able to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
* Confident working in both metric and imperial measurements
* High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
* Reliable, punctual, and flexible in approach to work
* Team player with a proactive attitude and strong work ethic
