Overview
Are you a passionate mobile developer? Do you want to work on a state-of-the-art application with modern design, architecture and tools in an agile environment? Vanguard is investing to build a world-class mobile experience and is hiring top talent to build our iOS native apps. Be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Vanguard Personal Investor app, with a primary focus on iOS applications and their integration with third-party back-end services. You will collaborate with engineers across different layers of the infrastructure, contributing to problem solving, design, and the creation of quality products.
Responsibilities
* Help create reliable applications for the iOS platform that makes investing simple and straightforward for customers.
* Contribute to the full life cycle from suggesting new features to releasing the application.
* Write programs, develop code, test artifacts, and produce reports.
* Employ software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented to support automation.
* Provide senior-level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases.
* Integrate third-party products and participate in design, code, and test inspections to identify issues.
* Participate in systems analysis activities and understand client business functions and technology needs.
* Learn and align with Vanguard's tools, technologies, and applications/databases, including interfaces with business areas and systems.
* Learn and align with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures.
* Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
* Write programs, develop code, test artifacts, and produce reports to support delivery.
What It Takes
* Proven experience in iOS development, with a focus on building and shipping high-quality consumer applications.
* Ability to understand product goals and translate them into technical solutions that resonate with users.
* Advanced proficiency with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and familiarity with MVVM or other architectural patterns in iOS.
* Hands-on experience integrating backend services (preferably using Kotlin-based BFFs), and familiarity with modern observability tools like Honeycomb, Splunk, or Sentry.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Bamboo, Fastlane).
* The ability to deliver high-quality mobile solutions in a collaborative, agile environment.

* This is a hybrid position and would require you to work in the office Tuesday-Thursday.
