3 months contract with a Local Authority Job Summary: • We are seeking a qualified and experienced Adult Social Worker to join our Adult Services & Health team on a temporary basis. • This role is essential to maintaining statutory service provision and continuity of care following a team member’s departure. • The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality adult social care, ensuring compliance with legislation, and promoting independence and wellbeing for service users. Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample): • Manage a varied caseload of adults with complex needs, including older adults and individuals with physical or learning disabilities. • Conduct strength-based assessments and reviews in line with the Care Act 2014. • Develop and review care and support plans that promote independence and meet assessed needs. • Carry out safeguarding enquiries in accordance with relevant policy and procedures. • Work in partnership with families, carers, health professionals, and external agencies to deliver coordinated care. • Maintain accurate, timely records using internal case management systems. • Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and supervision in accordance with professional standards. • Ensure legal and ethical compliance in all areas of practice, including mental capacity, deprivation of liberty, and best interests’ decision-making. Skills/Experience: • Significant post-qualification experience in adult social care. • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and Safeguarding Adults procedures. • Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure. • Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills. • Proficient in using electronic case management systems. • Able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. • A flexible, person-centred, and professional approach. Additional Information: • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration. • Full-time role – 35 hours per week.
