CNC Setter Operator Based in Tamworth Permanent role - 39.5 hours £19.80 per hour + overtime + benefitsAn exciting opportunity has arisen to progress your career as a CNC Setter Operator with a leading engineering company based in Tamworth, Staffs.This role is based on a rotational double day shift pattern.A CNC Setter Operator sets up and operates Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines (lathes, mills) to produce high-precision parts, involving reading blueprints, loading programs/tools, running first-off inspections with measuring tools (micrometers, calipers), making adjustments, and performing routine maintenance for quality and efficiency.Key Benefits of CNC Setter Operator:- £19.80 per hour basicDouble Day shift rotationMonday - Friday 0600 - 1400 Week 1Monday - Friday 1400 - 2200 Week 2Overtime available when business allowsPension enrolment28 days holidayFree onsite parkingClear career path progressionTraining where requiredKey Responsibilities of a CNC Setter Operator:-Run proven programs, adjust work and/or tool co-ordinates and correct any errors.Set tools and produce a First Off part to correct quality standardCarry out 1st off inspection from engineering drawings and update paperwork.Ensure the cell output is made to the agreed schedules.Ensure the quality of the machine output is to required specificationApply machine maintenance as per schedules.Co-operate and liaise with all other areas when required.Ensure 5s is maintained in the cell and other areas.Carry out any other duties reasonable within capability including possible secondment to work in other areas on the shop floor.Key Competencies for a CNC Setter Operator:-Able to set and operate CNC machinery to produce parts and inspect to the required standard.Setter / Operator with strong background knowledge of millingMust be competent operating FANUC or Heidenheim controlsExperienced in using 5 axis machinesHorizontal equipment experience is a distinct advantageAble to use a wide variety of measuring equipment.Ability to troubleshoot problems and support resolution.Good time management skills to meet deadlines.Eligible to work in the UKAbility to read and understand engineering drawings.IT LiterateIf interested in this role as CNC Setter Operator and Tamworth is a suitable work location - apply todayInnov8 Synergy are a leading recruitment and talent management specialist within the manufacturing and engineering sectors.
