Production Operative - Filling Type: Permanent, Full Time Shifts: (Weekly) Rotation 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm (Mon-Fri) POSITION SUMMARY As a Production Operative in our Powder, Fluids or filling and packaging area you’ll be responsible for the filling of containers with the required number of products before packaging and shipping. You must be vigilant and perceptive while operating the machinery to avoid accidents. In addition to operating the machinery, you will complete administrative work at the end of your shift, weigh products you package and perform simple maintenance on the machines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Operate filling packaging machinery of several types at varying stages of the production line, performing action quickly and safely at all times Sort and weigh products after packaging to ensure requirements are met and no mistakes have been made Apply labels and transfer products to the final shipping area, keeping them organized to aid in shipping crew’s job Perceive the production line ahead of you to anticipate errors and make adjustments as needed to prevent slowing down more than necessary Perform simple hourly maintenance on your machine to ensure it is completely functional and safe to operate Complete paperwork and other minor administrative tasks at the beginning and end of your shift, carefully ensuring all information is entered correctly and clearly Support other machine operators to ensure no workers become fatigued or distracted during daily operation Report malfunctions or errors to supervising staff immediately and relay important information about the issue KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED Basic computer skills and experience or knowledge of SAP FLT License would be highly desirable, but not essential Previous experience within a Manufacturing or Production Industry – Various Industries considered: Packaging, Food, FMCG preferred but not essential An ability to work in a team environment Willing to take part in process improvement projects and team activities BENEFITS PACKAGE Annual leave: 25 days (increases with length of service) Accident & Life Insurance: 1 x annual salary to 4 x annual salary (Linked to Employee Pension contribution %) Enhanced Maternity and Paternity Pay Employer contribution to pension insurance (Employee 3% & Employer 5% or Employee 4% & Employer 6%) Cycle to Work Scheme PerkBox: Employee Discount and Wellbeing Platform Diversey a Solenis Company We are relentlessly pursuing our purpose to go beyond clean to take care of what’s precious.
