Overview
Senior Speech and Language Therapist – Hillingdon Grange, an independent specialist day school supporting children and young people aged 3‑14.
Join our in‑house clinical team and work collaboratively with the education team to deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs.
Guided by the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working, you will hold a caseload, receive full support from your clinical supervisor and site lead, and contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
Responsibilities
* Deliver assessment and intervention to pupils with developmental trauma, neurodivergence or SEMH needs.
* Maintain a caseload within the standards provided in the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, families and carers.
* Contribute to staff training, consultation and safeguarding culture.
* Carry out clinical practice within the guidance of governing and professional bodies (HCPC and RCSLT).
Qualifications
* Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
* HCPC registration.
* 1‑2 years experience as a fully registered member of the RCSLT working in a similar setting.
* Knowledge of neurodiversity, trauma‑informed practice and legislation relevant to clinical practice.
* Strong communication, time‑management, organisational and analytical skills.
* Competence in core areas of SaLT practice and clear understanding of RCSLT Communication Standards.
* Experience communicating with families, relatives and carers.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Full valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Desirable
* Understanding of sensory and motor differences that may impact communication.
* Evidence of understanding the relationship between arousal levels and communication.
* Experience working with ASD.

Working Hours & Contract
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30‑16:30, full‑time contract (term‑time only options available). Permanent position.
