Role Context and Responsibilities
Our increasing workload on local and international projects has led us to expand our Electrical team across the UK region, serving both maritime and renewables sectors.
General Responsibilities
* Providing expertise on a broad range of engineering projects
* Designing electrical engineering systems, primarily including HV, MV, LV distribution, internal and external lighting, and other electrical systems
* Preparing design calculations, drawings, studies, specifications, and reports
* Liaising with clients, project directors and other team members
* Carrying out feasibility studies, surveys, and inspections on site
* Preparing reports and cost estimates
* Undertaking continuous personal development to satisfy the IET and actively participating in the local and national IET network representing Haskoning
* Identifying new opportunities for the company and providing excellent client satisfaction
What We Are Looking For
* BEng (Hons) or MEng in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
* Attainment of or working towards professional registration with the Engineering Council UK (ECUK) at Chartered (CEng) level leading to Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)
* Knowledge, experience and practical application of:
o HV/MV and LV electrical installations such as electrical supply and outdoor lighting infrastructure
o IEC / ISO and other international standards
o Application of EU legislation
* Knowledge and practical experience of one or more of the following design tools:
o AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, PSCAD, PowerFactory (DIgSILENT), Dialux, Relux, and Trimble
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience in one or more of the following sectors:
o Renewables such as offshore renewables, EV infrastructure, and future energy systems
o Ports or Maritime (including on-site experience)
o Petrochemical
o Onshore and offshore power systems
o Security clearance for UK-based defence work (or already cleared)
