Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Consultant to join our established Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) team and extend our data privacy capability. In this role, you will utilise your experience and expertise toprovide advice on privacy and data protection support consulting engagement to delivery complex privacy programmes.
Responsibilities
* Support data privacy consulting engagements, ensuring compliance with UK and EU GDPR, and other relevant regulations
* Assist with the implementation of data protection programmes for clients
* Provide advice on privacy and data protection queries, the application of data protection requirements, and privacy risk management
* Supporting clients on data protection issues, including incident management, data subject access requests and ICO investigations
* Draft documentation to support the development of client data protection governance frameworks, including policies, processes, records of processing etc
* Support on conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) for clients
* Research and evaluate third party security, data protection and privacy capabilities and controls within existing client services
* Contribute to the development of new and innovative solutions to protect ourselves and our customers
* Proactively maintain your training and stay up-to-date with the latest regulatory, industry and technology developments
* Support the development of GRC templates and training materials, and the development of the data protection governance framework within FSP
About you
* Previous work experience working in data protection and/or privacy environment.
* Understanding of data protection regulations and their requirements
* Demonstrable research, communication and presentational skills
* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and work towards deadlines
* Passion for regulation and technology
* Have the right to work in the UK and eligible forUK security clearance
* Hold relevant certifications e.g. CIPP/E, BCS Foundation Certificate in Data Protection or equivalent (desirable)
Knowledge and experience of the following would be advantageous:
* Hold other data protection certifications e.g. CIPP/M, CIPP/T, GDPR Practitioner
* Previous experience of working on privacy, data protection, GRC or security projects or programmes
* Previous experience in consultancy
* Have knowledge and experience of GRC and information security
