Are you an experienced motor engineer lookingfor your next challenge? Or ready to take your technical expertise into a desk-based role? This is your opportunity to join our Vehicle Damage Team and make an immediate impact.
Main Responsibilities as Desk Motor Engineer:
1. Conduct remote desktop inspections to assess vehicle damage and ensure safe, cost-effective repairs.
2. Provide fast, accurate technical advice to claims teams.
3. Audit repair networks and suppliers to maintain high standards.
4. Support liability decisions and investigate potential fraud.
5. Assist with complaint resolution in line with FCA standards.
Skills and experience you need as Desk Motor Engineer:
6. Strong knowledge of motor vehicles, repair techniques, and estimating methods.
7. Clear communication skills—able to explain technical details without jargon.
8. Analytical mindset with strong decision-making and numerical skills.
9. Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable.
10. Basic understanding of insurance principles.
11. IAEA membership (or working towards it) is desirable.
