Latham's Steel Security Doorsets LTD is expanding and seeking a skilled and motivated Fabrication Operative to join our dynamic production team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a growing manufacturer within the steel security doorsets sector, where you'll play a key role in producing high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
* Operate a variety of machines, including Press Brake, Guillotine, CNC Laser Cutter, Turret Punch (highly desired), and Mig/Laser Welding
* Use workshop tools such as Pillar Drill, Band Saw, Spot Welder, Grinding & Linishing, and various hand tools to fabricate components according to specifications
* Experiance with welding is desirable but not necessary.
* Produce stock and custom items to meet customer specifications and high-quality standards
* Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Management Systems (QMS) to meet deadlines
* Perform routine tests and checks to ensure all products meet required standards before dispatch
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations
* Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve fabrication issues
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in operating at least one of the mentioned machines
* Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and handheld scanners
* Strong understanding of mechanical principles and ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
* Experience with sheet metal fabrication techniques and lean manufacturing principles
* Knowledge of ISO 9001/14001/45001 standards is advantageous
* Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality production
* Good communication skills, able to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Working Hours:
* Monday - Friday
* 6:00 am - 2:00 pm (37.5 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid break)
Requirements:
* GCSE or equivalent qualification (preferred)
* English language skills (required)
