About This Role
We require a technician in Performing Arts to support the teaching and learning within the faculties. The purpose of the technician’s role is to work as a member of the Academy’s strong teaching teams being their support in delivering practical lessons. Our technicians are integral to the effective running of our classes. We need someone who can prepare resources, support students in the classroom and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
About This Role

Our technicians are integral to the effective running of our classes. We need someone who can prepare resources, support students in the classroom and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
The role is offered based on working 17 hours per week for 39 weeks per year (school term time plus 1 week).

About You
The role will involve meticulous organisation, a positive approach to learning and engagement in staff training to support outstanding practice. You will be working alongside a motivated and successful team of people that are supporting young people in developing their skills and offering them a broad-based curriculum.
The Role Will Include
* Preparation of equipment and resources for lessons or events, in particular music.
* Basic day to day maintenance of equipment.
* Ensuring the safety and security of equipment to prevent unauthorised access or misuse.
* IT skills would desirable as would the practical knowledge required for setting up sound and lighting systems and general workshop skills.
* Health and Safety training in the area of work will be provided.
