Role Summary
SGS College is seeking an exceptional leader to become our first ever Chief Strategy Officer. This brand‑new, top‑tier position reports to the CEO & Principal and will be responsible for translating SGS 2031: Get Future Ready into actionable strategy, leading the college’s role in driving economic growth and social cohesion across Bristol, Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire.
The role requires a dynamic leader who can work closely with external stakeholders to position SGS as a leading voice in local and national skills development. While sectoral experience in further education is valued, the key requirement is a strong desire to make a difference and the ability to lead and collaborate to embed a strategic approach within the college.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and implementation of the college’s strategic plan.
* Engage with external stakeholders, including local authorities, industry partners and educational bodies.
* Drive the college’s strategic initiatives to enhance educational outcomes and community impact.
* Champion a culture of continuous improvement and evidence‑based decision making.
* Present strategic recommendations to the Leadership Team and CEO.
