We are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Enforcement Lead to support a busy local authority Housing & Vulnerability team.
This is a hybrid role offering approximately 2 days per week working from home.
The successful candidate will provide operational leadership across private sector housing enforcement, renters rights, homelessness strategy and housing standards, ensuring compliance, service improvement and high-quality delivery across the service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide day-to-day operational leadership and support across the Housing & Vulnerability service
2. Lead on complex and specialist housing enforcement cases
3. Oversee areas including:
* Private Sector Housing
* HHSRS inspections
* HMO Licensing
* Fire Safety in High Rise Dwellings
* Asylum Accommodation
* Public Health in Housing
* Renters Rights implementation and enforcement
* Housing Strategy, Homelessness and Temporary Accommodation
4. Support service improvement, transformation and compliance activities
