Due to their continued success, our client is looking to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Manager to take responsibility for developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective safety program throughout the business.

The role at a glance…
1. Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective safety program, ensuring compliance with all H&S legislation.
2. Implementing the Company’s health and safety policies and procedures, and making recommendations for changes following reviews and legislative updates.
3. Arranging H&S audits and inspections to identify and minimize risks.
4. Benchmarking and sharing H&S best practices across the business.
5. Communicating changes in H&S legislation to Directors, Managers, and staff.
6. Identifying safety training needs, organizing, and coordinating safety training courses, and preparing training materials where appropriate.
7. Coordinating the delivery of the H&S site visit audit program.
8. Managing the Company’s H&S Management System.
9. Contributing to the development of in-house product training courses.
10. Evaluating accident and incident reports, surveys, and audits to establish root causes and working with leadership to develop remedial plans.
11. Ensuring compliance with Construction (Design & Management) 2015 and CDM requirements.
12. Maintaining H&S accreditations such as CHAS, Safe Contractor, and Constructionline.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in H&S management (Essential).
* NEBOSH qualification with working knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001 (Essential).
* A comprehensive, logical, and flexible approach (Essential).
* Experience in construction or manufacturing environments (Highly desirable).
