Job Description
The role of Lead Electrical Maintenance Technician will involve:
3. Managing and maintaining the organisation's electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
4. Planning and overseeing routine inspections, servicing, and repairs of electrical equipment.
5. Coordinating with external contractors and suppliers for specialised electrical services.
6. Carrying out Safe Systems of Works such as Risk Assessments, COSHH and H&S inspections.
7. Developing and implementing energy-saving strategies across facilities.
8. Providing technical advice and support to internal teams regarding electrical issues.
9. Maintaining accurate records of electrical installations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
10. Ensuring all work adheres to industry standards and organisational policies.
11. Contributing to projects aimed at improving facilities.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Lead Electrical Maintenance Technician should have:
12. Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or a related field (18th Edition, NVQ, City & Guilds)
13. Proven experience in maintaining and managing electrical systems.
14. Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements within facilities management.
15. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
16. Confidence in liaising with contractors and internal teams.
17. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a large organisation.
