Mental Health Clinical Research Specialist Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Cardiff and Vale University R&D for a Research Nurse to become part of the research delivery team supporting mental health research in Cardiff and Vale.
We are seeking to employ a band 6 Registered Nurse with either research and/or mental health experience and an interest in research. The post holder will contribute to the assessment and management of the care pathways for patients and carers participating in the BDEP clinical trial, which will be managed via the Cardiff CARE clinic based in CUBRIC. This will include recruitment, education, monitoring of trial patients, and the collection and documentation of accurate data.
The post holder will be based in CUBRIC and UHW but will be expected to travel across sites and perform home visits.
This post is Fixed Term/Secondment for 12 months due to the needs of the service.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse - Current registration with NMC
* Specialist knowledge of research legislation, GCP and National Framework and/or extensive clinical experience
* Ability to make independent decisions and advise others on appropriate action.
* Evidence of continued professional development
Experience
* Evidence of previous patient/client and Multi-Disciplinary Team contact within work environment.
* Experience of undertaking clinical research and/or extensive clinical experience in a specific area
* Excellent written, verbal and organisational skills
Aptitude and abilities
* Ability to communicate complex information to patients/carers/ members of MDT
* Enthusiastic and ability to motivate others
* Able to prioritise workload and work autonomously
