Anderson Knight is supporting a key client in recruiting an L&D Advisor to play a pivotal role in the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of technical training and Learning & Development programmes within a dynamic organisation. This role will also oversee the Early Careers Programme and lead education engagement initiatives, helping to foster a strong talent pipeline and promote a culture of continuous learning. A driver's licence is required as there will be occasional travel as part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
* Stay informed of industry regulations and standards, ensuring training compliance and alignment with current requirements.
* Manage course bookings in collaboration with internal teams, ensuring operational readiness and safety standards are met.
* Develop and maintain training processes, including managing budget approvals, workflows, and course materials.
* Oversee the accurate maintenance of training records, delegating responsibilities as necessary to ensure compliance.
* Work closely with operational teams to identify and address training needs across various sectors.
* Keep an up-to-date training matrix that reflects both current and emerging training requirements.
* Support the development and delivery of L&D programmes that align with the organisation's strategic business goals.
* Coordinate appraisals, identify training needs, and produce accessible reports on progress and outcomes.
* Design and facilitate in-house L&D courses, as well as lead digital learning initiatives via the Learning Management System (LMS).
* Support various people strategy initiatives as required, contributing to overall workforce development.
* Manage the Early Careers database, coordinate rotation and secondment schedules, and support talent development efforts.
* Serve as the main point of contact for education providers, managing enrolments and progress reporting.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and shape future talent development strategies.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with Early Careers colleagues, supporting their ongoing development.
* Organise and manage monthly inductions for new employees, ensuring smooth logistics and clear communication.
* Act as a point of contact for induction queries, providing a welcoming and informative experience for new starters.
* Keep induction content relevant and up-to-date, working in partnership with business teams to ensure it reflects current practices and needs.
Key Requirements
* Strong understanding of how L&D contributes to business growth and workforce development.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong administrative skills.
* Experience in a training role within a regulated industry, ideally with construction or engineering experience.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
* Familiarity with training databases (e.g., COINS) is a plus.
* Understanding of Early Careers challenges and how to effectively support young professionals in their development.
* Strong teamwork ethic and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
