Electrical Engineer – Minor New Works Team

About the Role
Mitie is looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Minor New Works team at RAF Mildenhall. You'll carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations across a diverse client base—helping to keep facilities safe, secure, and running smoothly.
You'll be part of a collaborative team that includes plumbers, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and administrators.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain and operate electrical systems safely
2. Perform inspections and planned maintenance
3. Record findings and remedial actions
4. Stay up to date with safety regulations
5. Carry out repairs and installations
6. Provide excellent customer service
7. Support team tasks when needed
8. Submit job reports promptly
9. Collect parts/materials when authorised
10. Complete all tasks efficiently and on schedule
What We're Looking For
Essential:
11. Level 2/3 City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3
12. Experience in electrical installation & maintenance
13. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
14. Able to work independently and record tasks accurately
15. Full UK driving licence
16. Familiar with various electrical systems
17. Knowledge of information security protocols
18. Eligible for MOD & DBS clearance (UK residency: 3+ years)
19. Proof of right to work in the UK
Desirable:
20. City & Guilds – Inspection & Testing
21. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS)
22. Authorised Person qualification
23. IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety certification
24. Experience in MOD environment
