Deputy Care Manager - Bedford (Outstanding CQC Service)
Location: Bedford (office based)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday
We are recruiting an experienced and motivated Deputy Care Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of an Outstanding-rated domiciliary care service in Bedford.

The Role
As Deputy Care Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining exceptional standards of care, supporting compliance, and leading Care Professionals to deliver person-centred services.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the Registered Manager with daily operations
Helping maintain Outstanding CQC standards and compliance
Supporting client assessments, care planning and reviews
Supervising, mentoring and supporting Care Professionals
Carrying out supervisions, spot checks and competency observations
Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training
Assisting with scheduling to ensure all care calls are covered
Managing safeguarding concerns, incidents and complaints
Maintaining accurate records on the care management system
Building strong relationships with clients, families and professionals About You
Essential
Experience in domiciliary care in a senior, supervisory or deputy role
Strong understanding of CQC regulations and quality standards
Confident leader with excellent communication skills
Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
Comfortable using care management and IT systems
Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care Desirable
NVQ Level 3 or 5 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
Experience supporting inspections, audits or quality improvement
