* Travel: Yes, up to 10% of the time
* Salary: £55,700 – £83,500
* Security clearance: Highest level of UK Government clearance required
Responsibilities
* Own team deliverables and work with the Scrum Master to define a path that meets customer requirements.
* Participate in the entire software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
* Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams, including product, front‑end development, and QA.
* Mentor and guide junior developers to support the team's growth.
Qualifications
* Experience as a Software Developer focused on either backend Java (Spring Boot, Maven) or frontend JavaScript (React, NPM) technologies.
* Proven experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable backend systems.
* Familiarity with CI/CD, containerisation, deployment technologies, and cloud platforms such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills; prior experience with agile ways of working is desirable.
* Ability to obtain and maintain the highest level of UK Government clearance.
