Overview
You will be required to ensure that invoices are raised in a timely manner, have the ability to pay attention to detail and collate information from various sources in order to ensure that all private income is captured. You will have an integral role with the administration team and you will be expected to provide a comprehensive and effective administration service to support the smooth running of the business office.
Responsibilities
* Ensure invoices are raised promptly and accurately, collating information from multiple sources to capture all private income.
* Provide a comprehensive and effective administration service to support the smooth running of the business office as part of the administration team.
* Communicate effectively with patients (in person and by telephone), consultants, their secretaries, colleagues and other departments within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, as well as external agencies.
* Demonstrate excellent customer care, interpersonal skills and a professional, courteous telephone manner.
* Demonstrate excellent time management, prioritise and manage workload effectively, and remain calm under pressure.
* Be prepared to have difficult conversations around finance issues; experience of working in a healthcare setting or a similar environment would be advantageous.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with patients and staff at all levels.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial administration.
* Ability to work as part of a team within a healthcare environment or similar setting is preferred.
* Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure.
