Children and Young People’s Learning Disability Nurse
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative nurse to work within the Community Learning Disability Nursing Service, specifically in the Children and Young People’s Learning Disability Team within the wider Learning Disability Service.
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated nurse who is a 1st level registered nurse in Learning Disability, Mental Health, or Children’s Nursing, with current UK NMC registration. Experience working with children, young people, or adults with learning disabilities is essential.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work across professional boundaries, demonstrate a strong team ethic, and aspire to develop their clinical skills.
The role involves providing specialist assessment, care planning, and evaluation for children and young people with learning disabilities who require additional support with mental illness, autism, challenging behaviour, or ADHD.
Excellent communication skills are required, along with the ability to collaborate with the wider Health and Social Care Team, Education, and Voluntary Agencies. The role requires autonomous working, initiative, and sound clinical judgement.
You will support and deputise for the Senior Children and Young People’s Learning Disability Nurse and contribute to service development.
This is a community-based role, requiring travel across Fife.
The service is committed to ongoing supervision, support, and professional development.
