Job Title: Management Accountant (permanent) Location: Derby | Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 from home) Salary: Up to £55,000 Benefits Are you ready to move into a leadership role where you'll help shape a growing finance function from the ground up? We're partnering with a forward-thinking Financial Services business in Derby who are building out a new finance structure and looking for a confident Management Accountant to join them on that journey. If you're someone who thrives on improving processes, enjoys taking ownership of the balance sheet, and is keen to support and develop others, this is a brilliant step forward. You'll be instrumental in embedding best practice across reporting and controls, and you'll also manage and mentor a small team. This is perfect for someone ready to lead, but not looking to step away from hands-on work just yet. What you'll be doing as Management Accountant: Producing accurate and insightful monthly management accounts Leading on balance sheet reconciliations and reviews Collaborating with the wider finance leadership team (Senior Finance Manager, Group Accountant, Financial Controller) Supporting the implementation of new processes and contributing to system improvements Managing and developing a team of two Helping shape and embed the structure of a newly formed team alongside the Head of Finance What we're looking for: Full ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified is essential Proven experience in producing management accounts Someone ready to step up into a people management role A natural problem-solver with a focus on efficiency and clarity Great communication skills and a collaborative mindset This isn't necessarily a particularly technical finance role - it's about owning the numbers, improving the way things are done, and supporting a growing team.
