Greenhous DAF Birmingham is looking to recruit a reliable and motivated Driver / Yard Person to join our busy and professional team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established commercial vehicle dealership, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our site.
As a Driver / Yard Person, you will play a key role in maintaining an efficient, safe, and organised dealership environment. This is a varied position combining vehicle movement, yard responsibilities, and workshop support duties.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, i.e. 40 hours per week. 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid).
Salary: Negotiable, will be discussed at interview stage
Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collection and delivery of commercial vehicles.
* Safe movement and parking of vehicles within the site.
* General yard maintenance, ensuring the premises are clean, tidy, and organised.
* Assisting with ATF lane operations.
* Carrying out minor defect repairs where appropriate.
* Supporting the workshop and service team as required.
Ideally, we are looking for:
* Class 2 (Category C) licence – Essential
* Class 1 (Category C+E) licence – Desirable
* Valid CPC qualification.
* Good understanding of vehicle safety and compliance.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
* Flexible and proactive approach to work.
