HGV Class 1 Driver – Solihull People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Solihull, West Midlands.

Shifts Monday to Friday: Start times between 03:00 and 06:00 Weekend availability if required Rates of Pay £17.00 – £20.35 per hour Benefits Excellent hourly rates Ongoing work Weekly pay Overtime available On-site canteen, vending machines, and pool tables Training provided Temporary to permanent opportunities Immediate starts available Early finish on Fridays No weekend working required Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties Operate and drive Class 1 (CE) vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured correctly Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers Maintain accurate records of shipments, mileage, and fuel usage Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assist with loading and unloading of cargo as required Essential Skills Valid UK CE (Class 1) licence Minimum of 12 months' Class 1 driving experience No more than six penalty points (no major endorsements) Valid UK CPC and Digital Tachograph Cards Good level of spoken and written English Experience operating various trailer types Reliable, punctual, and professional Excellent communication skills Flexible and able to work overtime when required Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines Desirable Experience Previous commercial driving experience across multiple vehicle types Training Provided Industry-related training and ongoing support provided throughout your assignment Apply If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team to find out more. xkybehq
