Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Financial Economics or Financial Econometrics
Department of Economics, Manor Road Building, Manor Road, Oxford
Grade 8: £49,119 - £58,265 annum (with a discretionary range to £63,489 annum)
The Department of Economics is seeking to employ a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Financial Economics or Financial Econometrics. The appointment is a permanent position until retirement age. The successful candidate must be available to start no later than the autumn of 2026.
At its core, this role will contribute to the Department's expansion into innovative forms of digital and hybrid teaching delivery. The successful candidate will have significant scope to shape pedagogical approaches and develop engaging teaching materials for a range of learning formats. The Department of Economics, alongside the Saïd Business School, is launching a flagship hybrid programme in applied financial economics.
In the first two years of employment, the principal task of the Lecturer will be to work with academic colleagues in the Department of Economics and with professional colleagues within the Saïd Business School to develop teaching materials for, and deliver content on, the MSc in Applied Financial Economics (MAFE) course. The MAFE is a new hybrid (part online, part in-person) degree that is set to admit its first cohort for the 2026/27 academic year.
