We are looking for a patient focused pharmacist to join our well established clinical pharmacy team working clinically across surgical specialties.
The post is suitable for current band 6 Foundation Pharmacists who will gain automatic progression into the band 7 role once defined criteria is achieved. Applicants may be employed directly at Band 7 level if they demonstratethenecessary skills and experience.
The successful candidate will be a pharmacist with strong clinical, prioritisation and interpersonal skills and with a track record of successful multidisciplinary team working. Experience of training and supervision would be desirable.
This post offers structured progression from Foundation to Specialist pharmacist within a supportive clinical environment.

To support the development, delivery and evaluation of the clinical pharmacy service to Surgical, Women & Children's specialties.
To participate, with support where appropriate, in Consultant led ward rounds.
To develop, deliver and evaluate training programmes for pharmacy staff and other members of the MDT managing this group of patients.
To actively participate and develop a pharmacy related Quality Improvement programme within these specialties.
Embark on relevant training to support progression e.g. independent prescribing, designated supervisor, where appropriate.

To actively participate in a specialty Consultant led ward rounds and pharmacy led out-patient clinics.
To supervise and develop other members of the pharmacy team in the provision of pharmacy services to Surgical , Women & Children's specialties.
To provide expert pharmaceutical advice and medicines spend information to relevant Care Groups.
To work closely with the Lead Pharmacist to develop, deliver and evaluate the clinical pharmacy services to all specialty areas and wards.
