Ecolab is seeking an experienced Operational Readiness Manager to join its Bioprocessing Supply Chain team in Llantrisant, Wales. This is a pivotal role supporting the expansion and operational readiness of a new, end-to-end bioprocessing manufacturing facility, representing a $100 million investment. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, the role will focus on preparing the site for successful start-up and sustained operations. The Operational Readiness Manager will work closely alongside the Project Manager and Quality Readiness Manager, ensuring that people, processes, and plans are aligned for operational go live in early 2027. Location: Llantrisant, Wales Investment Programme: $100M New Bioprocessing Manufacturing Facility How You will do: Lead operational readiness planning for a new bioprocessing manufacturing facility, from early design phases through start-up and handover to operations. Develop and manage an end-to-end operational readiness project plan, aligned to the overall site programme and start-up milestones. Coordinate product transfer and start-up plans, ensuring readiness across manufacturing, supply chain, and supporting functions. Drive resource planning, identifying capability, capacity, and timing requirements to support operational readiness. Manage projects end-to-end, including scope, timelines, risks, and dependencies. Identify, mitigate, and track operational risks that could impact start-up or ongoing manufacturing performance. Maintain clear, structured communication with stakeholders across the project, supply chain, and manufacturing teams. Act as a key interface between project delivery and operational teams to ensure a smooth transition into live operations. Required Qualifications and Experience Degree in Business, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or Operations / Supply Chain Management. 7 years of experience in LSS, Finance or Supply Chain Management. 3 years’ experience managing a portfolio of cross functional projects or programs. Strong IT and data analysis skills Self-motivation and the ability to self-supervise are essential Strong organisational skills with a willingness to learn and develop in a fast-paced demanding environment Strong statistical understanding and problem-solving skills. Fluent in English language. Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and oral. Advanced knowledge spreadsheet and graphics (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project). Experience dealing with time demands, incomplete information. Good organizational and planning skills. Can demonstrate leadership potential and coaching, training and mentoring skills. Ability to work in a matrix and multi-cultural environment. Demonstrated ability to deliver results through others. Previous experience or exposure to project and change management.
