Are you passionate about creating sustainable communities? Can you take a holistic and proactive approach to tenancy management issues? If so, come join Broadacres to be part of delivering a great customer experience as we strive to be the best rural housing association in the country.
What you'll be doing
As a Neighbourhood Officer, you'll play a proactive and visible role in our communities, helping to create safe, clean and sustainable neighbourhoods where people want to live and stay. You will:
Provide day‑to‑day tenancy management and support, including pre‑tenancy assessments, sign‑ups, decants and early intervention where support needs or tenancy issues arise.
Act as a key point of contact for customers, maintaining a strong presence in our neighbourhoods through visits, estate walkabouts and community engagement.
Deliver regular estate and communal inspections, ensuring fire safety actions, environmental issues and planned works are followed up promptly.
Address low‑level tenancy breaches, neighbour disputes and noise issues in line with the Neighbourhood Offer and Good Neighbourhood Management Policy.
Build strong relationships with residents, colleagues and partner agencies such as the Police and Community Safety Team to understand local issues and reduce crime and anti‑social behaviour.
Carry out essential tenancy‑related checks such as mutual exchange inspections, end‑of‑tenancy visits and planned property assessments.
Keep clear, accurate records and ensure all actions comply with policy, legislation and our Customer Promise.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering a high‑quality, customer‑focused service and who can build positive, trusting relationships across our communities. You will bring:
Experience in housing or a related field, with a good understanding of tenancy and estate management.
Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions and manage issues early.
Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the confidence to engage customers, colleagues and partners.
The ability to manage a varied caseload, stay organised and work proactively in a performance‑driven environment.
Good attention to detail, accurate record‑keeping and the ability to follow policy, procedure and legal requirements.
Flexibility to work in the community, sometimes outside normal working hours, and a commitment to keeping customers at the heart of everything you do.
What We Offer:
· Competitive Salary: Alongside a generous annual leave package and flexible working options.
· Comprehensive Benefits: A range of benefits, including pension and holiday buying scheme.
· Agile Working: Enjoy flexible working arrangements.
· Support for You: Additional perks to support your wellbeing, including our EAP service.
