We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electronic Security Installation Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is technically proficient, customer-focused, and passionate about delivering high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, configure, and commission a range of electronic security systems, including:
* CCTV (IP & analogue)
* Intruder alarm systems
* Access control systems
* Intercoms and door entry systems
* Perform system integration and testing to ensure full functionality.
* Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Ensure installations comply with industry standards, regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.
* Provide on-site training to customers on system use.
* Maintain accurate installation records and documentation.
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues efficiently.
Requirements
Essential:
* Proven experience installing and commissioning electronic security systems.
* Technical Knowledge and Skills: Requires understanding of security systems (CCTV, access control, etc.), proficiency with specific platforms (Galaxy, Hanwha, Hik Vision, Honeywell), knowledge of IP networking and integration, ability to read technical drawings, and familiarity with TCP/IP and security protocols
* Knowledge of current security technologies, equipment, and industry best practices.
* Ability to work from technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Desirable:
* Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., FIA, NSI, City & Guilds, BTEC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering).
* Experience with IP-based systems and networking.
* ECS/CSCS card.
* Water industry experience
* EUSR Blue water card
* Security clearance
