Key job responsibilities
Category Managers at Amazon have end to end responsibility of the customer experience and growth of the category they own. Category managers anticipate customer needs and incorporate them into the functional roadmap to drive a major change or enhancement to improve the customer experience. These changes span across pre-purchase and post-purchase span of the customer journey on Amazon.in and result in simplifying the purchase experience. Candidate will own specific charters in these areas and work with internal partner teams and external stakeholders to bring about the change. The candidate must be an effective leader and should carry strong business judgment with a track record of strong ownership values and relationship management skills.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of doing one of several roles: quantitative/financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, pricing, marketing or e-commerce experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of doing one of several roles: management consulting, investment banking analyst/associate, or brand manager role at leading consumer packaged goods company experience
- Experience in financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, marketing, business development, consulting, negotiation or supply chain
