About Us

Journey is a UK-based technology company that builds software for the luxury hospitality sector. We help high-end hotels and resorts drive direct revenue through three connected products: Manage, an experience management system; Book, a booking engine; and Market, a performance marketing platform. The three products work as an ecosystem — and Manage sits at the foundation of it.

Manage is the platform giving hotels the tools to create, schedule and sell experiences across their entire property from one place. It's a broad, deeply interconnected system that has been in the market for thirty years. We're now transforming it — rebuilding it as a modern SaaS platform from the ground up.

This is a remote position; however, candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK and be currently residing within the UK.

What you'll do

We're looking for a strategic, detail-oriented designer with serious enterprise UX credentials, deep information architecture experience, and a strong command of design systems.

As a Senior Product Designer you'll be embedded in the Manage product team, working autonomously alongside product managers and engineers, and reporting directly to the Design Director. You'll also sit as part of a wider group of Senior Product Designers — one embedded in each of our three products — and connect into a broader community of designers across the business.

* Lead end-to-end design for Manage across discovery, UX, UI and delivery — owning the work from early problem framing through to polished, production-ready UI used daily by hotel operations teams.

* Step into a transformation already in motion, contributing to the final push towards MVP whilst shaping the much larger programme of work that follows

* Map, interrogate and restructure complex information architecture across a broad, multi-module system — making interconnected workflows involving staff, spaces, scheduling and inventory feel logical, navigable and coherent.

* Run discovery activities including stakeholder interviews, user research, journey mapping and insight synthesis — developing a genuine understanding of how hotel operations teams work and what they actually need from the platform.

* Create high-quality flows, wireframes, prototypes and polished UI designs that make genuinely complex functionality feel intuitive and purposeful.

* Collaborate closely with product and engineering to define requirements, structure features and ship solutions that hold up under real-world operational use.

* Manage your own workload and priorities autonomously

* Present work clearly and persuasively, using rationale, narrative and evidence to bring stakeholders with you and influence direction with confidence.

What you'll bring

Skills & Qualifications:

* 5+ years of product design experience with a strong track record in B2B SaaS or complex enterprise platforms — you've worked on systems with real depth and breadth, not just surface-level complexity.

* A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design ownership on large-scale, detail-heavy products — with clear evidence of strategic thinking, strong IA and commercial awareness alongside the visual craft.

* Exceptional information architecture skills — comfortable mapping and rationalising complex systems, restructuring interconnected workflows, and making sprawling functionality feel structured and navigable.

* Strong UX foundations across the full range: interaction design, systems thinking, user research and prototyping — you know when to use each and you do them all well.

* Strong UI craft with a clean, contemporary aesthetic suited to enterprise interfaces — you care about the details and it shows in the work.

* Deep familiarity with design systems — you understand them as a strategic tool, contribute meaningfully to their evolution, and use them to bring consistency and scalability across a complex product.

* Fluent in Figma, with hands-on experience using AI-assisted tools for prototyping, ideation or workflow acceleration.

* Excellent communication skills — clear, considered, and able to influence direction across product, engineering and commercial stakeholders.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

* Experience in hospitality, travel, or similarly operationally complex environments.

* Background in legacy platform migration or large-scale system modernisation.

* Experience using generative AI tools within a design workflow — ideation, rapid prototyping, research synthesis.
