Job description Intelligence Assessment (IA) is part of Analysis, within HMRCs Risk and Intelligence Service (RIS). We provide HMRC with dedicated and professional intelligence analytical expertise, delivering high quality products to customers across the department and wider government. We are a key function in HMRC, considered leaders in our field by other Government departments. The work we do increases HMRC's understanding of the changing threat and risk landscape from those intent on stealing, evading, and avoiding taxation and public finance. As a senior leader in RIS IA, you will play an integral part in HMRCs decision making processes, providing intelligence assessment and insight to all aspects of not only HMRC but also the wider UK Government and Civil Service.? You will have the opportunity to lead intelligence analysis teams across the UK and have a diverse portfolio of responsibilities. Throughout your career in IA, you will have training and support to develop within the role. As a senior leader in RIS IA, you will have the following responsibilities : You will be a highly visible leader that continuously drives the direction of the team ensuring this direction reflects wider strategic priorities, bringing together geographically dispersed teams to deliver high quality intelligence analysis and assessment to a range of customers.? You will drive a national performance culture, ensuring professional standards are at the heart of everything we do, providing a service that customers need and our teams can be proud of.? You will lead collaboration with partners across HMRC and the wider Government/Civil Service, actively promoting the work of IA to ensure customers understand what we offer. You will understand the importance of intelligence and information for making assessments and ensuring these assessments are delivered to the highest possible analytical standards. You will champion and promote continuous professional development of specialist teams so that our people remain highly skilled and valued for the skills that they bring to customers across Customer Compliance Group. As part of a cross government profession, you will lead on both personal and team development to ensure the best delivery of the profession. Person specification Key skills: As a senior leader in RIS IA, you will play a key role in the way we operate across the entire business area with impact across HMRC and wider.
