Our client, a leading professional services firm with a strong presence in 21 countries, is seeking an experienced Senior Sourcing Manager to join their dynamic Finance team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional to drive strategic sourcing initiatives and lead a talented team within a renowned professional services organisation.
Position Overview
As the Senior Sourcing Manager, you will oversee the firm's sourcing activities, manage a team of sourcing personnel, and collaborate with stakeholders across the global organisation. You will develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies, evaluate supplier proposals, and ensure compliance with risk management and due diligence processes. This role offers the chance to significantly impact the firm's procurement practices and contribute to its success.
Responsibilities
* Manage and develop a team of sourcing personnel, providing guidance and fostering a high-performance culture
* Partner with stakeholders to manage categories, oversee plans, report progress, and recommend sourcing strategies
* Evaluate supplier proposals based on risk, cost, quality, and compliance
* Monitor contract lifecycles and collaborate with Legal, Finance, Data Protection, and Information Security teams for due diligence and risk management
* Prepare detailed reports on sourcing performance and champion technology integration in procurement
* Act as the primary contact for escalated issues and promote responsible sourcing, including Carbon, ESG, and D&I initiatives
* Support global category oversight, collaborate with international teams, and manage change following the global transition
Requirements
* Experience managing a category and sourcing team, ideally within a global professional services firm
* Hands-on sourcing experience across FM, HR, Marketing, and Travel
* Proven ability to work with stakeholders to define procurement needs, evaluate proposals, and select preferred options
* Track record in implementing responsible sourcing strategies with ethical and sustainable practices
* Strong knowledge of technology procurement, including cloud solutions, software, and hardware (highly desirable)
* CIPS qualification preferred but not essential
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
* Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment and manage change
