Main Purpose
As an Account Manager in our M&A Client Acquisition team, you will nurture relationships with new prospects and existing clients, maximising opportunity in the mergers & acquisitions market. You will engage directly with business owners and decision-makers, guiding them through the client journey—from initial enquiry to onboarding—ensuring a seamless experience and building lasting connections.
Key Responsibilities – M&A Account Management & Lead Development
* Proactively manage and grow a pipeline of M&A client prospects through calls, emails, and meetings.
* Qualify new opportunities against defined acquisition criteria, delivering quality leads to the M&A advisory team.
* Build strong, trusted relationships with decision-makers, understanding their business needs and objectives.
* Nurture relationships to drive engagement, ensuring a smooth transition from prospect to client.
* Maintain accurate client and opportunity records in CRM systems.
* Work closely with our M&A, sales, and marketing teams to optimise client acquisition and account management strategies.
* Deliver exceptional service, always acting in the best interests of the client and company.
What We’re Looking For – M&A Account Manager Skills & Attributes
* Proven background in account management, business development, or client acquisition—ideally within mergers & acquisitions, financial services, or B2B professional services.
* Confident communicator, skilled at building rapport over the phone, video, and in person.
* Goal-driven with a passion for exceeding targets and delivering value for clients.
* Strong relationship builder, able to nurture client accounts and identify growth opportunities.
* Exceptional organisational skills with high attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
* Adaptable, proactive, and resilient, with a supportive team approach.
* Comfortable managing multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Good IT, CRM, and data management skills.
