Overview
Position: Research Fellow in Railway Civil Engineering. Our leading rail research group at University of Southampton Malaysia is recruiting for a Research Fellow to investigate the performance of railway infrastructure, particularly overhead line equipment structures and installations. This is a two-year contract until 30/09/2027 to develop and carry out field trials; survey remote sites; install instruments, data loggers and transmission systems; and analyse and interpret data. We seek someone who can start immediately in October 2025.

Qualifications
* Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification. The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD. Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.
