The role
Grappenhall Heys is an outstanding and popular Community Primary School, situated in South Warrington. We have wonderful well-motivated pupils, an enthusiastic and committed staff and Governing Body, inspirational senior leaders, supportive parents and strong links with the community.
Our Governors wish to appoint a committed, highly motivated, dedicated and caring person to join our team of Midday Assistants, supervising children from Nursery to Year 6 during lunchtime.
Hours / Working Pattern
1.5 hours per day 11:30am to 1pm, 5 days per week, TOTAL 7.5 hours per week.
Please be aware that this is a term time position and holidays / days off will not be allowed during term time.
What We Are Looking For
Duties will include acting as an excellent role model for the children and promoting the school’s values. You will need to encourage the children to develop their personal and social skills through modelled play and promote excellent behaviour at
all times. Interaction with the children and using your initiative to organise activities will be required. You will also be required to supervise children during mealtimes, encouraging them to eat correctly and to develop independence in clearing away. Your role will include setting up tables and chairs, sanitising all eating areas and brushing the floor as needed. On occasions you will be required to attend Midday Assistant meetings and training for which you will be paid. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will adhere to all school policies especially those relating to behaviour, safeguarding, health and safety, equal opportunities and confidentiality.
