We have an opportunity for a Permanent Head Veterinary Nurse to join a small animal practice in Bracknell, Berkshire.
The role will suit an individual who has excellent communication skills to deliver the best quality service to the practice's loyal clients. The practice is looking for someone who is willing to go above and beyond for the patients and clients, developing trusting relationships with both.
The ideal candidate is an RCVS registered nurse with good experience in small animal care who puts the welfare of both pets and owners above all else. You will also be available to assist in the development your fellow nursing staff's skills, as well as your own, and be able to work effectively as a team to deliver excellent care to all clients and patients.
This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 5 days, along with 1 in 4 weekends at the local branch hospital. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.
Duties:
The role involves all aspects of nursing and includes sharing best practice and supporting and developing the rest of the nursing team. The nurse will be responsible for supporting the PCAs and CCAs within the team. They will be part of the nurse clinics that run daily. The RVN will be involved in administering treatments and medications, performing diagnostic tests, assisting in surgeries, and providing advice to clients. They will also have clinical coaching opportunities to support SVNs within the region. There are a certain number of administrational duties however support is provided from the regional team.
The role is ideal for an RVN who thrives on providing a high level of veterinary care, teaching student nurses and someone who is ambitious to develop their career.

About you
20. You will be a qualified veterinary nurse who is registered with the RCVS
21. You will have previous experience of working in a small animal practice
22. You will have a good amount of nursing experience in all aspects of nursing
23. You will have good organisational skills
24. You must have a friendly and compassionate attitude and be approachable at all times
25. You will be ambitious to continue with further education and training
26. You will be forward thinking and always looking at ways to develop the clinical nursing team further
27. You will enjoy running nurse clinics
28. You will have experience in clinical coaching and or happy to become a clinical coach
29. You will enjoy leading a team and providing ongoing support to fellow team members
30. You must be motivated and passionate about your work and share this and promote this ethos with other members of staff

Package:
44. Salary: Up to £32, per annum, commensurate to experience
