About the Role
Are you creative, outgoing, and looking to build your portfolio before stepping into summer internships or graduate roles? Peer-eX is offering a short-term opportunity (1–3 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance) for a Social Media & Marketing Intern to join our growing team.
This role is all about creating engaging, shareable content, especially on TikTok and Instagram, that connects with uni students. You'll have the chance to experiment with different formats, interview students on campus, and make content that builds both our brand and your own personal portfolio.
You'll work approximately 6 hours a week with support from our team, allowing you the freedom to be creative while also receiving guidance to develop your skills.
There will be two main aspects to your role:
1. Creating Content for Instagram and TikTok – This includes posts about new features, top tips, announcements, and more.
2. Producing Videos – Engaging directly with students to create relatable and compelling video content for our social media channels.

Responsibilities
* Create and post engaging short-form video and social media content, primarily for TikTok and Instagram.
* Actively contribute ideas for content themes and campaigns.
* Interview students on Nottingham University Park and Jubilee Campuses to create relatable, student-focused content.
* Track and review content performance using basic analytics to refine strategies.
* Collaborate with the team to align content with broader brand and marketing goals.
What We're Looking For
* Confident and outgoing personality - someone comfortable interviewing people on campus and appearing on camera.
* Creativity and enthusiasm for social media.
* Basic content creation and design skills (Canva or similar tools).
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with guidance.
* Must be based in Nottingham and able to visit University Park and Jubilee Campus regularly.
Desirable:
* Prior experience in social media content creation or student marketing.
* Interest in startups, marketing, or communications.
