What you will do
You will work year-round on a single site location in South Wales. Coordinating the preventative maintenance, routine servicing and remedial works associated with Fire Suppression systems including Detection, Deluge, and Extinguishers. Organize and lead a small static engineering team, attending customer meetings, planning sessions, health and safety assessments, job surveys and any various emergent needs from the customer. You will work closely with the onsite and offsite teams to manage and deliver equipment inspections, undertake various site-specific safety walks and inspections, and maintain the records, create and manage reports for works undertaken and detail rectification works recommended by the engineer team.
Occasionally, perform field inspections of miscellaneous fire protection products and assist during annual site production outages.
The successful candidate will be confident in working on their own as well as part of a team taking direction from their manager and meeting with the requirements of both the customer and the business alike. The ideal candidate will take personal responsibility for service delivery, quality and health and safety by acting as a role model to meet and exceed customer expectations as well as advising the customer and business of remedial actions required and potential upgrades.
How you will do it
* Carry out and complete all coordination works outlined above.
* Proactively maintain and develop custom-made reports and documents in Microsoft Office systems.
* Accurately record timings and service documentation using provided IPAD and Service software.
* Drive sales of deficiencies, materials, and products.
* Lead and drive a first-class customer service experience.
* Manage the safety records, training, and work records of the engineer team.
* Brief the team on the upcoming week's work, set objectives, and drive performance.
* Adhere to all QEHS regulations and participate in provided training for a zero-harm workplace.
* Actively participate in internal technical audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Coach new apprentices and site visitors, serving as a key link between the customer and Field Line Manager.
* Successfully complete and pass enhanced security vetting programs as required.

* Good understanding of Fire Detection systems and the service and maintenance of such.
* Good understanding of portable Fire Extinguishers and their service and maintenance.
