đ About the Role
NCHA are looking to hire an Employers Agent / Quantity Surveyor to work within our internal Pelham Architects consultancy team. We would like to hear from you if you have extensive knowledge of new build housing construction in the UK, preferably in an Employers Agent / QS / Project or Construction Management role. Any experience in the delivery of social housing would also be of interest.
This is a client-side role where youâll help deliver new build housing and major refurbishment projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and value for money. Youâll work with contractors, consultants, external and internal clients to deliver multiple projects to create homes that meet the needs of our communities.
We would like to hear from you if you have experience in wider construction management, such as being a contracts and project manager, or if you have extensive knowledge of new build housing construction in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
* Administer JCT Design & Build contracts for new build and refurbishment projects.
* Chair pre- and post-contract meetings with clients, contractors, and design teams.
* Certify contractor payments and commission consultant services.
* Provide technical and contractual advice, including budget and procurement strategy.
* Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and other statutory duties.
* Monitor contract performance using IT systems and track against KPIs.
* Manage defect resolution and oversee end-of-defects inspections.
* Coordinate site inspections, snagging, and handover processes.

đŻ What Weâre Looking For
* Experienced Employerâs Agent or Quantity Surveyor in social housing
* HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Strong knowledge of CDM regulations, Building Control, and housing construction
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and document sharing platforms
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects
* Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (Essential Car User allowance applies)
