I’m currently working with a syndicate on the appointment of a Head of Underwriting Performance and Oversight to lead performance oversight across a London Market portfolio. This role combines analytics, governance, and leadership, with a focus on ensuring underwriting activity aligns with business plans and delivers sustainable results.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor underwriting performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement
* Deliver clear, insightful management information and reporting
* Challenge portfolio performance, including exposure, pricing, and planning assumptions
* Support business planning and reserving processes
* Ensure compliance with underwriting standards and regulatory requirements
* Lead and develop a team
* Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and controls
About You
* Strong London Market experience in underwriting or portfolio analysis
* Excellent analytical and reporting skills
* Good understanding of regulatory and market standards
* Confident communicator with stakeholder management experience
* Proven ability to manage workload and lead others
