Join Our Recruitment and Admissions Team as our Student Ambassador Scheme Assistant
At Manchester Metropolitan University, our Recruitment and Admissions team plays a vital role in guiding prospective students from their first enquiry all the way through to enrolment. We're proud to support a wide range of audiences — from applicants and their families to university staff, and external partners — by providing clear, helpful advice, and a welcoming experience.
Each year, we connect with around 100,000 potential students through our recruitment campaigns, host 40,000 visitors both on campus and online, and run over 800 off-campus events. We also manage more than 80,000 applications annually, ensuring every applicant receives timely and supportive communication. At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to offering high-quality information and guidance, helping students make confident, informed decisions about their future.
This fixed-term role (until 31 July 2026) sits within our Undergraduate Student Recruitment Team. You'll play a key part in organising and delivering events like open days and applicant visit days. A big focus of your role will be coordinating our Student Ambassador Scheme, which includes around 500 current students who help bring our events to life. You'll lead on recruiting new student ambassadors, manage the day-to-day running of the scheme, and support the wider team with event logistics and planning.
We're looking for someone who:
1. Communicates clearly and confidently with a wide range of people
2. Can manage their time well and stay organised in a busy environment
3. Has a good understanding of university application processes, UK 14–19 qualifications, and student finance
4. Brings strong administrative skills, experience in event coordination, and is comfortable using Microsoft Office tools and complex databases.
If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and want to help shape the journey of future students, we'd love to hear from you.
