Role Overview
The role is to manufacture prototype and small batch components, including highly accurate aerospace components to lab demonstrator items, within a small team at our site in Great Baddow.
Responsibilities
* Manufacture of small batch/prototype and production components ranging from highly accurate aerospace components through to lab use demonstrator items.
* Program, set and run 3‑axis CNC milling machines using CAD/CAM software and the machine control.
* Operate manual milling machines and lathes.
* Work independently with initiative, demonstrating a flexible working attitude.
Essential skills and qualifications
* Experienced CNC milling machinist.
* Capability to program, set and operate different machine tools, including manual milling machines and lathes.
* NVQ Level 3 Engineering (or equivalent) qualification or higher, or apprentice trained.
Desirable skills
* 3‑D CAD/CAM programming experience.
